Savor the Wings
The Verde Valley Birding and Nature Festival, held annually in April, coincides with peak migration season. Over four days on the banks of the Verde River at Dead Horse Ranch State Park, participants partake in guided birding tours, hikes, and workshops. Established in 2001, the festival spotlights diverse habitats along the river and promotes wildlife conservation in one of Arizona’s richest birding regions.
